Boys and Girls Club of Greater Victoria offers 2 community based residential programs as an alternative to custody. The programs are a provincial resource for male youth 12 to 18 years of age. The goal of these programs is to help youth return to their family when possible and community and develop prosocial skills and behaviors that will decrease their involvement in the criminal justice system.
The Library's teen programs formerly presented under the banner of the Centre for Youth Literature connect Australian teenagers with books, stories, writing — and each other. In Victoria, rooming house regulations have been made that include a suite of 11 standards for rooming houses. Social housing is owned and run by the government, housing agencies or not-for-profit organisations.
An overview of the range of disability support the department provides for people with intellectual, physical, sensory, cognitive and neurological disabilities. To get started, this service will assess your disability support requirements and then assist you in getting access to these. There is a choice of supported accommodation services available, including group homes and community residential units for people with a disability. The Victorian Aids and Equipment Program provides people with a permanent or long-term disability with subsidised aids, equipment, home, and vehicle modifications.
